The Loft Community Partnership has purchased a building and plans to renovate it to meet the growing needs of our neighbors. Our new 9,600 sq. ft. Community Resource Facility is located at 100 E. Charlotte Street, Millersville (the former Lancaster EMS). It will house an expanded food pantry which will be set up like a grocery store. It will include additional dry & cold food storage plus space for paper goods, toiletries and household cleaning items. Multiple large, covered loading bays will make unloading food more convenient.

In addition to the food pantry, the facility will house a clothing sorting room and a clothing bank for our neighbors. There will be offices for staff and volunteers as well as private rooms for family advocacy.

We plan to create a large multi-purpose room which could be used by community providers to help our neighbors. The space could also be used to host volunteer trainings, civic events and community meals. It will house our Loft Community Kitchen for cooking classes and demonstrations as well as a greenhouse and community garden to educate our neighbors on growing and preserving food.

Floorplan
Our new facility is all on one floor making it ideal for both deliveries and shopping. There’s ample dry & cold storage in the back for restocking the store. The plan includes separate spaces for neighbor services and operations. To see the proposed layout, click the button below.
